Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan and opener Imam-ul-Haq have received permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to return to domestic cricket.
According to reports, both will play in the final round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I first-class tournament, which starts on Monday.
Imam will represent Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) while Rizwan will lead Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) against Khan Research Laboratories at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Both players were among seven PCB recalled to Pakistan after the team lost the second Test against England at Lord’s by 194 runs in August.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) later summoned Rizwan, and an inquiry against him is under way. The PCB had earlier kept both players out of the tournament, which began last month.
